The cleaning out and throwing out and sorting out process continues. The family is starting to guard their "stuff" when they see me leering. Pretty much every nook and cranny has been checked for errant no longer being used items. I have another load to take to the D.I. Already took one this morning. The lower garage is still a burr under my saddle, as is the workshop. Those, however, are not my domain, so I'm trying to steer clear of those areas of our homestead ere I break into a cold sweat! I cannot be responsible for my actions when a certain level of "stuff overload" psychosis suddenly seizes me!

A Mission of Madness
It has been sleety, rainy, cold, and dreary the last several days. I know that this type of cheerless weather generally sends folks to a cozy corner with a book and a cup of cocoa. Not me. For some unexplainable reason, I have not been cozily sipping and reading -- I have become a crazed women with a desire to GET RID OF EVERY UNNECESSARY ITEM THAT IS CLUTTERING THIS HOUSE AND GET THE REST OF OUR JUNK ORGANIZED! While Greg continues to try to single-handedly pull the country out of economic crisis, I continue my quest to personally stock our local DI.
So, if you find you are in need of a button or two, perhaps in a lovely shade of blue, I've got them. Or if you prefer yellow or pink. You can count on me. Each can be easily found in their own cozy section of a tiny little drawer tucked neatly away in the cupboard of my recently organized and dejunked craft room.
Or, if instead, you are in need of matching napkins or place-mats or a table cloth, I'm your gal. I can also now tell you exactly where to find a cold tablet, thermometer, q-tip, or bottle of travel size lotion.
And don't even get me started on my love affair with my labeler! I can't believe people (that would be me) used to use plain old masking tape and a marker to label bins and cubbies and shelves and drawers! How droll! This little baby makes my heart sing!
And don't you dare put that box of crackers away on the shelf marked for cereal -- can't you plainly see the cracker shelf right there to the right, fourth shelf from the bottom?!

Random Thoughts
It seems at times that the getting down to every day living and raising of teens can suck the life right out of you. But then those teens do or say something that gives -- hope, and makes me smile :-)
Dustin - "I am so lucky to have three brothers that are good at math!"
I LOVE that he didn't make a distinction between his brothers-in-law and his brother. They are ALL his brothers and he loves them all.
Melanie (after I told her about some of our experiences with our dear Residency friends in Hawaii, i.e. explaining about missionaries and missions and standards and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the girl's temple marriages) - "I prayed while you were gone that you would have missionary opportunities!"
I am fortunate and blessed to be the mother of teens -- these teens! The "home children" or "the homies" (their definitions of themselves and their current situation). I love that they are good friends and that they love each other. Their unique and fun personalities make me smile and laugh out loud. And I love them!

Remember this?
One year ago yesterday (January 18th) our sweet Chelsea and Brigham were married! The smiles on these two faces are still just as happy as when these photos were taken. I have loved watching them grow in love and commitment to each other this past year. Happy Anniversary Chelsea and Brigham!
