Remember this?
The progress made has been slow in coming, due partly to the incessant rain we had for pretty much three solid weeks. The good news is, there has been progress!
First, the deck: New solid surface that will not drip or leak to the patio below. Posts newly covered with stucco to match exterior trim and retaining portions of the house. And new wrought iron railing and stairs that do not need to be power-washed and sealed EVERY year. And we moved the stairs to the end of the deck instead of exiting in the middle and blocking the lower patio view.
Next, the garden: New planter boxes with stone steps leading down to the area, and gravel walking paths between. We're still watering this with a hose. The sprinkler line has been trenched and pipe buried. Just waiting for the final hook-up.
The sandbox and grass: Still waiting for the final top layer of the "good" sand, but this paver walk-way turned out super cool. The "good" dirt has been brought in and raked, and is just waiting for sod. In the second shot you can see another garden box on the lower tier next to the cherry tree. That was repaired, but is still being watered via hose in hand as well.
Workshop: Added this garage door and the cement pad for easy access in and out, especially during the winter when the plow needs to come out and push the snow around.
Still waiting for: sod, sprinkling system, paver path to lower patio from sandbox, curbing around back edge of yard next to rocks, plantings within the curbing, new bark on lower tier next to fruit trees and fire pit.
I think that's all, but I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Oh yes, clean up the mess and pull the weeds!
