In January I decided it might be wise to list all of my projects that are hiding in closets and cupboards. I naively thought this would give me the motivation necessary to complete these hidden projects, and perhaps, not take on any new projects until all on my list were completed.
So -- as of January 15th, I had listed 35 projects. Thirty-five!! Well, two weeks of the year were already spent, so I now had 50 weeks left in which to finish these thirty-five. AND, if I perchance added 15 more projects, I would still only need to complete one a week to have all finished by December 31, 2010. Possible and achievable? Yes.
And so I began ...
1. quilt for Aunt Margie's 90th birthday; 2. baby quilt from Maui Quilt Shop bundle; 3. baby quilt from JoAnn Fabrics bundle; 4. Christmas quilt from random purchase kit; 5. bag from Hawaii fabric scraps; 6. baby quilt from Maui Quilt Shop bundle; 7. T-shirt quilt from my girl's camp t-shirts and sweat shirts as a leader; 8. an applique block on my t-shirt quilt (had to show it cuz it is so dang cute); 9. block from my t-shirt quilt; 10. another baby quilt to match #6 but with different colored fabric on the back.
Other completed projects without photo proof:
- 30 burp cloths
- two skirts for Melanie
- I'm thinking there are a few more (um maybe about five) that I've blocked from my memory :) or maybe they are secret projects that are ... a secret and so no photo for you!
So that makes approximately 13 projects done (some, like the skirts were only listed as one) with 234 days left in the year, or 33 weeks. I've added about five projects to the list, so: 40 - 13 = 27! It can be done!
So what am I doing blogging when I have projects to do?! Wish me luck!!
P.S. Not all of my projects are sewing type things. Some have to do with photos, and some have to do with leftover not finished stuff from Relief Society activities :)
