Negligent Blogger - continued

Other happenings since last I blogged ...

Dustin went to Lagoon with Talon and Brigham and friends for his sixteenth birthday celebration!

   

Brigham and Chelsea moved to Alaska :(  For a play-by-play, day-by-day update of this adventure, check out Chelsea's blog at S'Moore Adventures.  Chelsea is now home for a month while Brigham is in the Ukraine in a language training program.

Melanie headed down to BYU for a music camp AND a young ambassador performance camp.

 

Chase had another baptism.  Or maybe a few.  But this is the only photo he sent us :)

 

Dustin spent TWO weeks at BYU attending tennis camp. And attended a chemistry/biochemistry internship at USU.  This is Dustin giving his presentation on computational chemistry regarding whether or not triple bonds can be formed between two boron atoms:

   

THEN Dustin headed North to Hebgon Lake with his quorum for their high adventure. Beee-uuu-teee-ful!

   

The family (Greg, Shirlene, Nicole, Talon, Melanie, Dustin, and of course Chelsea) went camping overnight with Chelsea's in-laws family reunion. Chase even made an appearance :)

     

And last, but certainly not least, while my sister Lynnelle was here visiting we had the chance to visit with our Grover girl friends, Debbie and Diana, from our days on Moana Street in Laie.  Two sets of sisters = double the fun!

   

That's all folks!  For this very minute, at least.

P.S.  Did I mention that I am going to be a grandma?! Our darling, good-looking and brilliant grandson will make his life debut on or around December 15!  Did I mention that he is brilliant and good-looking?!

Although I have thrown a few posts up, I have failed to report on our recent (well, ok, it was 21 days ago) Barney Family Reunion.

The members of the Pat L. & Alta J. Barney family united in Logan to celebrate our heritage!

We had a sweet family tree compliments of Chelsea.  My grandma and grandpa are on the trunk. Upon arrival, each family member wrote their name on a leaf and placed it on their branch of the tree.  My dad is the dapper gent to the far left. We had representatives in attendance from EVERY branch of our family!  

 

There are only three of my grandparent's six children left.  We're so glad we still have Aunt Geneal, Dad and Uncle Allen around to boss us and keep us in line!

 

We had awesome reunion t-shirts.  Awesome food -- homemade ice cream was also included.  Awesome games (even if we ran out of time and energy to complete the decathlon and ended with only an octathlon). Awesome prizes. And pretty much just an all around awesome day spending time together.

After all, family really is EVERYTHING!

 

 

Photo Phrenzy!

Just downloaded about a bjillion photos from my Aunt Marilyn's zip drive thingy onto my computer and then onto discs for my sure to be grateful brothers and sisters.

Yup -- the extremely adorable young blond is in fact -- me :)
