I was filing away a paper in my uber organized file drawers (so I thought), when I suddenly noticed the files and files and FILES of tax returns and other documents that I have dutifully kept since 1988!!! That would be NINETEEN HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-EIGHT!! Seriously?! Yes! Seriously! Chase wasn't even born yet! What was I thinking????
Now I have always known that one need only keep tax documentation, etc. for seven years NOT twenty-three! Again, what was I thinking??? I pulled ALL of the old stuff out and began shredding! My pile was 18-20 inches tall. I'm not lying! The result? Clean, organized, uncluttered file drawers and this ...
It's a little embarrassing.
I was randomly looking through old family photos again and found this sweet shot that confirms my guess of THIS post! You didn't believe me when I said my dad was wearing WHITE loafers, did you? The proof is in the picture! Oh ya!
Talon's little sister got married and so Nicole, Talon, and Addie flew in for the wedding. Yay! And I got to tend Addie while they went to the wedding! Yay, yay!
At the very moment during which I was tending said adorable bundle of joy, my spousal unit (aka Greg) was having a total knee replacement. Not DOING one, HAVING one. When married to an orthopedic surgeon, one must be clear. Ironic? Yes.
At the close of the wedding event, I hurried to the hospital to give love and support with my presence. Although I was certain Greg couldn't recover without having me there, THIS visitor really made him smile!

Greg's knee will heal - eventually. Barkley and I are taking care of him. And he has some good drugs :) Sadly, "they" don't make drugs that will heal our broken hearts because we miss these little darlings SO much! Having Addie here for such a short visit was WONDERFUL and cruel! Seriously! The only balm is knowing we are a FOREVER FAMILY! Thank goodness for that miracle!
October General Conference weekend has become a Park City weekend for our family. We LOVE being able to spend time together there and listen and learn from our leaders and Prophet. And, it is closer for Greg so he doesn't have to spend so much time on the road and away from us! Score!
As dictated by tradition, we rode the coaster on Saturday. Sadly, the lines were so long that we didn't have time for the Alpine Slide this time. Doubly sad, Nicole and Chelsea, et al (Talon, Addie, Brigham, Andy) couldn't be with us since they are living their lives in MIssouri and Alaska, respectively. Dumb!
